Kenneth Finn, MD practiced Pain Medicine in Colorado Springs from 1994-2024. He moved to Prescott, Arizona in 2025 to continue practicing comprehensive Pain Medicine. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (1995), Pain Medicine (1998), and Pain Management (2000). He is certified in Cannabis Science through the University of Colorado (2022). He was a associate professor for the University of Colorado Medical School, Colorado Springs branch (2018-2024). He is former President (2022-24) of the American Board of Pain Medicine and has served on their Exam Council for over 25 years. He served on the Colorado Governor’s Task Force on Amendment 64, which legalized marijuana for recreational use, Consumer Safety and Social Issues Work Group (2012) and served 4 years on Colorado’s Medical Marijuana Scientific Advisory Council (2014-18). He was an invited speaker to the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna, March 2023. He testified to the Canadian Senate on their marijuana bill (2018) as well as New York General Assembly (2019), and speaks internationally on the health impacts of marijuana, including being an invited speaker to the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, UCLA VA Medical Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston), New Zealand Pain Society, and the Texas Medical and Pain Societies, among many others. He works nationally with other state legislators considering legalizing marijuana for medical and recreational purposes. Dr. Finn was selected to testify to the Department of Justice on the rescheduling of marijuana (2024 and 2026). He is editor of Cannabis in Medicine: An Evidence-Based Approach (2020) and currently the Co-Vice President (2021) of the International Academy on the Science and Impacts of Cannabis (https://iasic1.org) which is now a member of the Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs (2023).

About our Guest: Dr. Karen Randall

Dr. Karen Randall is an emergency medicine physician. She has had residency training in family practice, pediatrics, and emergency medicine. Prior to moving back to Colorado, Dr. Randall taught residents and medical students at a large teaching hospital in Detroit for over 18 years. She moved to Colorado the year before marijuana legalization about 14 years ago. Dr. Randall is the vice president of case management for the emergency department. She began seeing more and more issues related to cannabis use and speaking out about the harms to children. She retired in 2025.
Dr. Randall has a certificate in Cannabis Science and Medicine from the University of Vermont. She has served as an expert panelist for SAMHSA in DC, testified to many legislators, and spoken at numerous conferences and meetings, including parliamentary members in Australia. Dr. Randall is the co-president of Parents Opposed to Pot (POP) and serve as the medical advisor for Moms Strong. Most recently, she testified at the DEA trial with Drs Finn and Drum. |
About our Guest: Dr. Phillip Drum, PharmD

Phillip Drum, PharmD, grew up in the central San Joaquin valley of California. Upon receiving his doctorate from the University of California – San Francisco School of Pharmacy in 1986 he performed a hospital pharmacy residency in Chicago, Illinois. After his residency, he worked as an Oncology Clinical Pharmacist in hospitals and later became a Clinical Coordinator and Manager of Pharmacy Practice in Hospitals. He has also been a Pharmacology Instructor, Residency Program Director and Special Pharmacy Consultant.
Following a family tragedy involving his sister over 13 years ago, he has been an educator of marijuana and an advocate for safe roads both within his state and across the United States. Dr Drum has performed marijuana driving research, provided national, state and local presentations, including training to Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) law enforcement officers. Dr Drum was assigned by the California Governor to a 3 year state Impaired Driving Task Force, participated in multiple safe driving bills and was accepted as the only pharmacist to present to a US Drug Enforcement Agency Hearing to assess marijuana’s status as a controlled substance – he is here today to educate you about marijuana - what the industry does not want you to know. |
